AFRICA. The Continent.

I know what you’re thinking. Why Africa?

The Continent is one of the most amazing places in the world.

Africa has the BEST sunsets. Africa has some of the most amazing, beautiful, and hospitable people in the world.  The views are unmatched. And most importantly, you will feel Africa in your soul and spirit.

Often, many of us are ‘uninformed’ about travel to The Continent because of what we see on TV and what we have heard from untrustworthy media outlets.

With this, understanding where to go, what to do, and how to navigate through Africa may seem like a task.

Destination Done was created to bridge the cultural gap between the Black American Diaspora and South Africa.

We have carefully curated and handpicked, unique experiences with local businesses to ensure the integrity and authenticity of your experience, and, of course stimulate the economy.

This means you will experience Southern Africa in the most genuine and pure ways as long as you are open to the Love and Light that is Africa!

We want Africa to touch you the way it affects our soul and spirit.

Will You Experience

The Continent With Us?

Johannesburg, South Africa

johannesburg.jpg

South Africa is one of the easiest introductions into Africa.

Known for its revolution and perseverance, South Africa has a recent history that we can identify and connect with on many levels. South Africa is quite a dazzling and diverse destination, with everything any visitor could desire.

Johannesburg is South Africa's largest city. It is widely diverse, vibrant, and bustling.

There's something for everyone here!

The Kingdom of Eswatini

africa-animals-big-631292.jpg

The Kingdom of Eswatini (formally The Kingdom of Swaziland) is one of the best examples of a country living in the “old” African traditions and beliefs. Imagine visiting a country where you can experience ‘true’ Africa. The way it was then and the way it still is today.

Eswatini is often not widely explored ( even considering it’s close proximity to South Africa), so you’ll have an opportunity to get a rare passport stamp that most would only dream of having!  This will be your opportunity to have a glimpse inside of the ‘real’ Africa.

After settling in and resting, we will prepare for our Welcome Dinner. Here, you'll have an opportunity to meet with the rest of the beauties who you will be exploring Africa with over the next week.

DAY 2: Exploring The Beauty,

Culture, and History of Johannesburg

Today we will explore the hidden gems of Johannesburg! We will do a city tour, then head over to one of my favorite neighborhoods in Johannesburg, The Maboneng Precinct.

There, we will enjoy a rooftop with food, drinks, and amazing views of the city. Around the corner, is an awesome Market with local food vendors, craftsmen, and lots of street entertainment like drummers, dancing, and great rhythms.

DAY 3: Soweto

Oh, Soweto.

So much soul. So much history.

Today, we will be visiting the township of Soweto. Taking a biking tour, we will explore the authentic beauty of the township. You'll have an opportunity to interact with the locals, support the local merchants and craftsmen, and enjoy some great scenic views of the city.

Afterward, we will stop for lunch on Vilikazi St., a famous street with great local restaurants. From here, we will go to South Africa's Apartheid Museum, where you'll learn about the inequality that South Africa has faced and more importantly, how they've persevered. We will also visit Nelson Mandela's home which is also in the township.

OPTIONAL: If you're down for it, you can bungee jump from Orlando Towers! (add'tl cost).

DAY 5: Welcome to Eswatini!

After enjoying breakfast, we will pack our things and head to The Kingdom of Swaziland!

Swaziland is one of the best examples of a country living in the “old” African traditions and beliefs. As one of the last monarchies in Africa, Swaziland is the smallest country in the Southern hemisphere, with a population of only 1.2 million people.

Today, we will leave South Africa and take a scenic drive to Swaziland.

When there, we will explore local villages, see African wildlife, and have an amazing opportunity to meet and bond while being a “Swazi for the day!”

Later in the evening, we will check into our accommodations and have dinner.

Africa is known for its amazing wildlife. So you cannot come to The Continent and not experience the beauty of African wildlife!

Today, we will meet our Guide and do a game drive (safari) through a Game Reservation, where you will see some of the Big 5!

It is a once in a lifetime experience, so have your cameras ready!
